Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n

The paper begins from the hypothesis that understanding specific working relationships and influences is fundamental for appraising the contributions of pioneers to a field. It explores this statement by discussing how the heritage of Jean-Claude Gardin as well as Jean Meyriat and Jacques Chaumier has influenced the development of Brazilian research group TEMMA. It examines the group’s formation in the late 1980s as a hub of collaborative research work centered on Knowledge Organization; analyzes its impact on the formation of new generations of researchers for the Brazilian field, and observes the group’s thematic developments and emphasis on methodological rigor. The paper also outlines contemporary assessments of the group’s impact in Brazil, and reviews TEMMA’s developments and contributions to the theoretical proposals of the francophone pioneers. It concludes by considering the presence and the future of francophone influence in Brazil and by identifying a rich field for future investigation.<\/p>\n

L’article part de l’hypoth\u00e8se selon laquelle la compr\u00e9hension des relations de travail et des influences sp\u00e9cifiques sont fondamentales pour \u00e9valuer les contributions des pionniers dans un domaine. Cette affirmation est explor\u00e9e en suivant comment l’h\u00e9ritage de Jean-Claude Gardin, ainsi que de Jean Meyriat et de Jacques Chaumier, a influenc\u00e9 le d\u00e9veloppement du groupe de recherche br\u00e9silien TEMMA. Il examine la formation du Groupe TEMMA \u00e0 la fin des ann\u00e9es 1980, groupe de recherche collaborative centr\u00e9e sur l’organisation et la repr\u00e9sentation du savoir, et examine son impact sur la formation des nouvelles g\u00e9n\u00e9rations des chercheurs br\u00e9siliens. Il observe ainsi les d\u00e9veloppements th\u00e9matiques du groupe et met l’accent sur la rigueur m\u00e9thodologique des op\u00e9rations de repr\u00e9sentation de l\u00b4information. Il d\u00e9crit les impacts du Groupe TEMMA dans le contexte br\u00e9silien et surtout les contributions aux propositions th\u00e9oriques des pionniers francophones.
